Too much snow

Okay, I'm all for a snow day, especially when we have them two days in a row....but it's past 3 feet now and we're stuck inside our home because we can't get our 4-wheel drive truck out of our drive way and it's still snowing. I have to drive down the hill tomorrow to pick up my dad and although I'm excited to see him, I am so not looking forward to driving in this....if I can. Plus, if this continues it's going to become R3 conditions and it won't matter that we have 4-wheel drive with snow tires, we're going to need chains and chains for trucks are expensive. I guess I should stop complaining and just enjoy an extra few days off.

The new puppy

So, I've tried, and don't get me wrong, he's cute, but I just can't seem to like this puppy very much right now. He (most of the time) goes potty on the potty pad, so that's good. BUT HE CHEWS EVERYTHING!! He electrocuted himself the other day biting through the laptop cord. He chewed through the wire of our new head phones, has chewed up the heals of two pairs of shoes, and to top it off, we're pretty sure he's the one that knocked over the cup of water that broke our laptop (temporarily, it's working now). I hope I warm up to him soon, I feel like such a bad person because I don't like a puppy. Who doesn't like a puppy? They're so cute and cuddly....until you have to take care of one.

It's the end of October....

and that means Christmas is almost here!! Oh, I can't wait. This is my favorite time of the year. Halloween always marks the start of the Christmas season for me, and yes that includes music. Right now I'm listening to a few X-mas songs. I know it's a day early, but it's close enough. I'm really excited about this year. I feel like this year Eric will actually understand what Christmas is. Last year he still couldn't really open the gifts by himself so we had to help....well, more like do it for him. Now he'll be able to open them up all by himself. :) I love Christmas so much! Yay! Just thought I post to remind everyone that it's less that 2 months away!

New family member

We just bought a puppy!! It's a beagle and we named him Casey. He's 8 weeks old and the cutest little puppy ever! He's so chill and laid back bu active when it's play time. He's like the perfect puppy. He even went potty on the puppy pad today. No messes to clean up...yay. Eric seems to love him to and visa versa, although at this moment he's laying on him....Eric on top of the puppy...in case it wasn't clear which. Casey doesn't seem to like it very much. Well, I'll try to get some pics up if I remember. Bye

Sorry it's been so long

Wow, it's been a while. First I just want to say that I'm so loving my job! Although I have a few students that occasionally drive me crazy, I still love coming to work everyday. How many people can say that?

Some what off subject, but I've really been noticing how fast time has been going lately. Maybe because I have a son now, but really, I can't believe he's 2! I swear I just found out I was pregnant. Each week goes fast and faster it seems. At the end of the week I have to think about what happened during the week. It feels almost as if I just skip from Monday to Friday. I mean, I guess it makes sense. Each year is a smaller portion of our life as time goes on so it's going to speed by faster. When your 4, a year is a WHOLE quarter of your life. When you're 23, a year is 1/23th of your life. Big difference! It's really a scary thought to think that each year feels like it's going faster. I can't imagine when I'm 50 and it's going twice as fast as it is now.

On another note, Tony and I are planning to get pregnant this winter. I'm really excited. I'm so ready to be pregnant again and have a baby! I was holding my sister-in-laws baby this past weekend and it just made me realize how much Eric has grown and how I miss holding him. He never wants me to hold him any more. For example, when he first started going to school he used to cry everytime and give me kisses and hugs. Now he just runs off and I have to chase him for a kiss. A baby can't run off and I can kiss them any time I want to! :)

Well, I'll try to keep this updated more often. Sorry for the dry spell.

4th of July

So yesterday was a blast. Tony, Eric, and I had a great time. We went out to breakfast with family, did some shopping and then went to the lake to watch the fireworks. I was worried that Eric would get really fussy having to wait 5 hours to watch the show but he did really well and he absolutely LOVED the fireworks. He was completely mesmerized with them. Although I've seen better firework shows on the lake, this year was okay. Oh, and the weirdest thing happened while we were at the lake. All of a sudden this HUGE jet flew over the lake. It was actually a little scary. Anyways, I'll post some pics when I get them. Hope everyone had a great 4th.

New baby

So.....as most of you know Tony and I are planning to have another baby....eventually. We were going to start trying in August but now with the new teaching job it will probably be put on hold. It's really a weird feeling thinking about having another baby. How will it effect our lives? My biggest fear is wondering how I can share my love between Eric and the new baby. I mean, I love Eric with all my heart, I can't imagine loving anything more that I love him. How would I share my heart between two babies? It's really a scary feeling. The only thing I keep thinking is that I will love the new baby less, which is just a sad thought. I guess most new mothers go through the same things, but it just makes me re-think having a new baby. Also, how much I worry about Eric is just unbelievable. How could I worry about two babies.....I think I would just go crazy. Anyways, just thought I'd get that off my chest.

Thought I'd give it a try.

So I guess this is the new thing. I have to say, I've never been too big on letting the world know what I'm thinking, but it's summer and I'm bored, so what the hell. I'll warn you right now, I probably won't post every day like some of the die-hard "bloggers" do, but I'll try to keep it up to date I guess. I figure, I'm getting older now and telling Eric all about mommy's day just isn't the same. I'll also try to keep you updated on baby Eric, who let me tell you, isn't so much of a baby any more. Well, I guess that's it for my first blog. Hope you enjoyed it.
